Portrait painting was my first love. My idea of a perfect day means strolling through the Getty Museum admiring my idols, including Titian, Ingres, and Caravaggio. Studying every detail, I hoped to one day achieve their level of artistic brilliance.

However, while examining the artworks, I always wished to see subjects from my Los Angeles community represented with the same level of prestige and glory.

By using acrylic and oil paint, I aim to reimagine the Western art canon by celebrating queer joy, create representation for people of color, all while immortalizing significant moments in my life.
